We're opening a bar! Our very own venue where we can host classes, events and provide a rehearsal and recording space for you guys to enjoy.
Hello, we’re The Guitar Social. We’ve taken the traditional guitar class and turned it on its head with a range of courses, jams and events that have entertained and developed thousands of guitar players since we began in 2013.
We're not just about scales, theory and solitary practice (although we do encourage all of those things) We’re about the magic that happens when musicians meet. This is why we put social interaction at the heart of all we do. Through our work, dozens of bands have formed, people have travelled the world together, hundred of beginners have followed The Guitar Social way and found themselves on stage, gigging and having a great time with it.
Our classes have always taken place in other people's pubs. All of our events have taken place in other people's venues. All of our rehearsal and recording endeavours have taken place in other people's studios. The logical place to take The Guitar Social is out of other people's spaces and into our own custom made venue.
We have a location in Dalston and we had secured a partner who was ready to invest £10, 000 for a refurbishment. Sadly, this partner has been affected by Covid and can no longer pay in. So that's why we're crowdfunding.
The venue will be yours. It's a shared space with a recording studio, a bar, a classroom, a place for you to rehearse in for free, a mini music book library, a stage, It's a music hub. A place to hang out, to jam, to call your second home.
A lot of the pledges on this page are based around a six hour jam taking place on the 10th of October. We plan on opening the venue on the 6th of November. We can't wait to see you there.
