Hi there! Thanks for checking out our Cambodia Expedition crowdfunder page.
This summer, 4 Falmouth University and 4 Exeter University students are set to travel to Cambodia to conduct valuable ecological surveys into avifauna, reptile and herpetological species, in the understudied and isolated jungle areas on the Kep islands - areas undergoing rapid rural development. This important research builds on two years expeditions by previous cohorts of students at Tremough Campus - Expedition Samloem in 2013 and Project Kep 2014.
This is no holiday though, we're not going through a tour company - so all of the money we're given will go directly into this vital research. We'll be operating in an intense jungle environment, conducting research all day long, everyday... and many nights too! Being the third year this research expedition will run, we want to make this a sustainable cause for many years to come. We will be working with approximately 20 students from Cambodia's Royal University of Agriculture, learning from them what sustainability for the region means for them, and what their conservation needs are.
We have already applied for grants from University of Exeter and the Royal Geographic Society, but to make this expedition possible we need your help. Please give generously whatever you feel you can.
