We, a group of young people from Wendover Youth Centre, hope to develop a fruity social enterprise and product that has both a positive impact on the environment and on the community.
We are working with our local supermarket, Budgens, who are donating the fruit that they can no longer sell and hope to make tasty and nutricious dried fruity bits/jerky.
If successful, we will work with Budgens, the Youth Centre and the Youth Forum to make the fruity bits and sell them back to the community via the Centre, the local schools and (if we can meet the standard required) back into Budgens. However, we cannot do it without you.
We need £1,000 pounds to buy a dehydrator and packaging materials to get our project started.
This is a great opportunity for us to learn how to run our own business and in the process to make a difference to the health of the local community.
We have some great rewards for pledges and any over-funding (along with any profits made from fruity sales) will be donated to the Wendover Youth Centre charity which has been nurturing the young people of Wendover for 30 years.
Thank you for your support
