Project aim

Help us start a family fitness revolution.

We are raising funds to help us cover some immediate costs of completing our amazing FREE new website aimed to parents.

Our FREE app nudges young children and parents adopt healthier active lifestyles. www.edeggs.com

About the project

The forthcoming website will help parents track their children progress and interact with them by setting achievement goals.

The FREE app is already available for FREE download in the Apple and Google Play stores; see www.edeggs.com.

Game content includes hilarious comicstrips that are unlocked by earning energy points walking outdoors - the app uses GPS. Children aged 4 to 10 can collect up to thirty cute characters and follow the story of their new town NEW YOLK.

Note: Parents need to approve by confirming their email before their children can start earning energy points walking outdoors.

Our team is working on additional content and bonus games. We are already planning 96 more characters and twenty four more levels!

 Highlights

  • Initial mobile application-based health solution developed and launched
  • Top 10 finalist in Health X 2014, a competition for European startups run by Public Health England

SOME WORRYING HEALTH FACTS

*Health problems associated with being overweight or obese cost the NHS more than £5 BILLION every year; that is £5,000,000,000!!!

Health Survey for England (HSE, 2013) provides data on overweight and obesity among adults (defined as people aged 16 and over). Results for 2013 showed that around 62.1% of adults were overweight or obese (67.1% of men and 57.2% of women). The prevalence of obesity is similar among men and women, but men are more likely to be overweight (41.1% of men compared to 33.3% of women).

In England, there are approximately 11 million teenagers age fourteen or younger. This includes 30% of children aged between 2 and 15 who are overweight or obese.
