FALLOUT : a new play about women, friendship and having a blast by Jackie Thompson and Anna Wood.

FALLOUT : a new play about women, friendship and having a blast by Jackie Thompson and Anna Wood.

We are writing, workshopping, casting and producing a dark comedy about female friendships at the end of the world. Fallout will have an all-female cast and creative team, and it will premiere at the Anthony Burgess Foundation in Manchester on 24-26th November 2016. The cast will include 7 professional actors.

We have secured £14,949 of funding from Arts Council England to write and develop our first play. We've also secured free-because-they-love-us admin support (using printers, getting advice) from Manchester International Festival, rehearsal space from the Royal Exchange, audience development advice from Morris Hargreaves McIntyre, music licensing help from Woodwork Music and script mentoring from acclaimed writer/actor Joanna Scanlan (Getting On, No Offence, The Thick Of It).

This is all excellent news, BUT we need funds to cover a few essentials: theatre hire, sound and lighting, an extra actor, money towards a director, props, costumes, rehearsal space, set design, programmes and posters.

We would like to thank all the Dead Hens that gave up their time to shoot this video (which will hopefully persuade you to part with your hard earned cash so we can finish the piece!), Ailsa McLaggan for styling it, Rachel Davies for directing and editing, and Soup Collective for camera loan and grading.

When we're premiering the play:
