I'm standing for parliament for the Green Party in Islington North. If elected, I would push for people to have a say on the terms negotiated for leaving the EU, work to protect human rights, employment rights and the environment, and be an effective local champion for Islington North.
I'm standing against the Labour leader who thinks we should leave the EU whatever the cost; that our outdated first past the post voting system is fair to all voters; and that climate change is not a top priority.
Here in Islington North we have the chance to change the way we do politics in the UK.
I have lived, raised my family and been an active community campaigner in Islington since 1986.
For three years as Islington’s only opposition councillor, I have been working with the people of this amazing borough to address the struggles so many face after years of government cuts and helping people achieve change.
Every day as an elected member of the London Assembly I deal with big challenges that confront our city, such as polluted air, transport and the economy.
I have energy, commitment and hands-on experience as an elected representative. I am ready to serve as your MP and appreciate whatever support you can give to our campaign.
