Aim

As part of Art Trail Month in Hinckley, Leicestershire, Deadarm Studio are hoping to build a freestanding immersive cube room.

We recently opened a pop-up gallery and studio space in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The space was provided to us by the charity, the Artists Window who support local creative arts for the benefit of local communities.

We are Deadarm Studio, which is a collective of artists. The gallery is an urban and contemporary gallery which showcases local artists and provides workshops for the community.

Our vision is to create a unique a unique, engaging and portable installation that brings people together and enriches the cultural fabric of our local community.

The installation will serve as a shared space for interaction and creativity. Through the installation we hope to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in meaningful experiences that celebrate local identity.

The project will involve the creation of a freestanding 12 foot by 12 foot immersive cube. The cube will be illustrated in mono on the inside with interactive sound installations, including touch sensitive triggers on the walls and floor.

The exterior of the cube will be wrapped in selvedged / reclaimed denim and fabrics.

The money we are hoping to achieve with your help is for the materials for the build. This being plywood sheeting, pls timber for structure build and fixings and the sound installation hardware and software.
