With your help, we can make Camberwell Fair a success this year and in years to come. And as a way of saying thanks, for a donation of £12 you can become a member of this year's event! Membership includes:
- a free cocktail on arrival
- queue jump and separate entrance
- access to a beautiful Moroccan marquee
And more importantly: the warm glow of being able to support a free festival for the community!
Supported by Southwark Council, Arts Council England + local sponsors, Camberwell Fair is a free one-day celebration of music, culture, food and local grassroots businesses. The Wormfood stage will host performances from reggae legend Dawn Penn (No, No, No!), Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, Chainska Brassika, The Turbans, Kasai Masai + Papayera; the community stage will host over 50 of South East London’s finest musicians; there will be games, a pop up market, food stalls courtesy of local businesses and much more.
Taking place on the original common land that hosted Camberwell Fair from 1279 to 1855, this year’s instalment will look and feel decidedly different to its ancestor in 1855, but the same traditions of community and culture will flourish once again. Camberwell Green will welcome people to share common experiences which are integral to the identity of the area: music, dance, food, stalls and games: a contemporary fair representing the diverse demographics of modern Camberwell.
