Help Us Get To Bonneville And Set More World Records for Britain and the Isle of Man.
The Lonan Fellowship is a small group of motorcycle racing fans who are proud to call the Isle of Man their home. Living near to the World famous road race circuit called the T.T. In 2012 we travelled to Bonneville, Utah for the iconic Speed Week and as novices, set two consecutive world records of 188.73 mph and then 203.37 mph in the 500cc Class earning special commendation from Bonneville organisers as the best organized "rookie" motorcycle team.
In 2014, we plan to return for the Centenary of Speed Week and with your help we aim to take two motorbikes this time and set up to six more official World records as an inspiration to everyone around us that ordinary people with special skills and determination can achieve extraordinary things.
Important to us is not only to make World records but also to inspire the younger generation in our communities that if you give it you best shot, so much can be achievable. Socially inclusive promotional events are a feature of what we are about, sharing our experience with others.
The team give frequent public presentations and talks featuring the World record holding bike with team members presenting technical specifications and related logistical details as part of informal presentations. Local newspaper and community radio engagements are also an ongoing activity to further deliver our community engagement.
We are proud to be working with the Joey Dunlop Foundation and Isle of Man Year of Culture 2014 Festival.
Thank you for checking out our CrowdFunder Presentation, and we hope you will join us on our journey to Bonneville, World Centre of World Speed Records.
