No one in the RAF family should feel lonely.
Because once you're part of the RAF family, you're always part of it
The Royal Air Forces Association is looking to raise £5,000 to help fund 500 visits from our befriending volunteers to someone who is feeling lonely in the RAF family.
A regular visit, a day out, or even a chat on the phone can all work wonders. That’s where a specially trained RAF Association volunteer comes in.
Recent research has found that isolation and loneliness is particularly acute within the ex-military community, with one in six individuals reporting relationship/isolation issues.
With our befriending scheme we are pairing volunteers with RAF veterans and their families who suffer from loneliness and isolation.
