The opening of an independent bookshop in the town of Battle East Sussex.

About the project

Battle is a small town most famous for being named after the Battle of Hastings; it has a thriving high street with many independant shops and cafes.  But does not have an independant bookshop - something I want to change.

I want to a bring a small independant bookshop to the town, I want to give the local people the option to buy on the high street, to shop local and make Battle High Street a better, all encompassing, shopping destination. I believe that there is a place for local independant bookshops so please make a pledge and help me make my dream a reality. I also want to create a bookshop that holds regular readings and events at multiple locations up and down the High Street with particular emphasis on parent and child events to encourage our children to engage in some of the excellent literature being created by talented authors the world over.

All the money raised will be spent on shopfitting and stock, and if you choose to pledge you will be more than welcome to suggest quality literature that you think should be stocked.
