To raise £10,000 to help 10 Artistry Youth Dance artists take part in an international exchange with Bangarra Youth in Australia.
Help Us Take 10 Young Dancers on an International Exchange to Australia
We’re raising funds to support an international exchange between Artistry Youth Dance (UK) and Bangarra Youth and Education Program (Australia), part of Bangarra Dance Theatre, one of Australia’s most respected and internationally recognised dance organisations.
From 19–31 August 2026, 10 of our dancers will take part in a 5-day choreographic intensive, creating new work alongside Indigenous young people in Australia. The programme focuses on artistic exchange, cultural learning, and leadership development, giving our dancers inspiration from world-class role models and new creative perspectives.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that will empower the next generation of young Black dance artists, helping them grow in confidence, pride, and ambition.

For young Black dancers in particular, opportunities for this kind of international exchange are rare, making this a vital moment for representation, visibility, and future leadership in the dance industry.

These experiences don’t just benefit the dancers while they’re away, they influence how they train, create and lead when they return home.

Your contribution will help cover costs for
10 dancers and 3 staff, including:
- International flights London–Sydney–London
- Accommodation in Sydney
- Food and essential living costs
- Cultural and learning activities

Bangarra Dance Theatre’s Youth and Education programs empower young people through culture, creativity, and connection. Grounded in the stories and practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, the programs provide culturally informed dance workshops, training intensives, and learning resources that nurture identity, confidence, and artistic expression.
