This General Election is hugely important as we enter the Brexit negotiations
Don Valley voted overwhelmingly to leave the EU, yet we have been represented by an MP who campaigned for Remain. I voted Leave, and I pledge to support Theresa May throughout the negotiations, to help us get the best deal as we exit.
I hope we can come to a sensible agreement with the EU about our future trading and security relationship - and I do not want to see the EU fail. I simply thought that divorce was inevitable since the EU project is getting ever tighter and Britain - outside the Euro - wanted no part of that.
With a Brexit negotiated by Theresa May we will take back control of our national laws and borders, but we will still be an outward-looking and tolerant nation.
Standing up for Don Valley
Labour have taken the various towns and villages of Don Valley for granted for far too long. I will be an MP that represents the whole of the constituency, and not just the people that vote for me.
My key pledges for residents include:
- I will hold regular surgeries all across the constituency
- My expenses will be open and transparent, published monthly on the internet
- I will move to the constituency and raise my family here
- I will raise your local issues directly with ministers
As Don Valley's first Conservative MP I will be a strong voice for the area. I will ensure we get a fair hearing in Westminster, and fair funding for all our public services.
How you can help
This constituency is currently held by Labour but lots of analysts - and the bookies! - think that we have a great chance to win. Your donations will help us contact thousands of voters, explain our Conservative vision and start a conversation about their ambitions for Don Valley, South Yorkshire, and our country.
- £20 will pay for 30 letters to recruit new volunteers
- £50 funds a leaflet campaign to 1500 voters
- £100 provides 5000 colour calling cards for doorstep canvassing
Please donate whatever you can – every penny will help get Aaron Bell elected to Westminster.
If you are kind enough to donate more than £50 to our campaign, your name and address will be checked against the electoral register to ensure that you are eligible to donate. Your name, but not your address, will be made available on request after the election.
