Hi my name is seham I am a mum of three And a bilingual therapeutic counsellor and member of the BACP. I am original from Yemen I arrived with my family to uk in 1999 to seek asylum due to conflict of a civil war. This is one thing that makes me passionate and dedicated to my job and helps me carry on to insure that we can always accept a referrals for any asylum seeker and refugee in the Wirral and we at Mind Clarity all share the same experience of what it means to be displaced and seeking refugee in a new counter as all our staff are from the Brame community and have has great understand or experience of the very taught process of become a British citizen.
We at Mind Clarity provide the personal support and safe place for the client when they first arrive in uk scared and anxious of what will happen, where they will live, if they will be granted permission to remain and most importantly how can they cope with the ex mental health issues that they have developed from past trauma and from being displaced and away from all family and loved ones.
This fund will enable us to not leave our clients on a waiting list while they suffer during the most difficult time within this lock down where our clients face isolation in areas that are unfamiliar to them and most of the time unable to speak English so the basic of needs are not met. We are able to provide client 6 zoom sessions in their own language and helping them not only improver their mental health but also acting as a link to sign post them to free services available and break the many barriers they face.
