We have a little boy "Zachary" who is 10 years old. However mentally he functions at the age of an 18month old. He has a diagnosis of autism. Adhd. Hyperactivity, sleep onset delay, and severe communication disorder, he cannot verbalise any of his needs or wants to us making it practically impossible to know what he wants, it is all Down to guess work. Because Zachary needs to constantly move he needs a lot of sensory products for him to function the way his brain requires, such as balancing beams, anything he can access to climb on, and also things such as lighting to calm him. It's suggested that a climbing wall would be a great way to burn off excess energy... Obviously if we can only access these items for him through fundraising as they're so expensive and the amount we stated may still not be enough but we have to start somewhere. Hopefully we will be able to get the room he needs for him to be able to function and be the typical little boy he should be while being safe at home.
