Unemployment is a major issue amongst NIGERIAN youth. This gives room for idleness and the youth getting involved in various illegal activities to survive! At Monitor Healthcare Ltd, we are involve in Medical Technology and Education.
As part of our support to build our community, librate the youth, and reduce organised crime we embark on an apprentiship programme for the youth.
It’s an open system where youths apply to join the programme by sending their CV. The CVs are reviewed and cohort of 100 are invited for 2 days training and assessment. Based on the assessment from the initial 2 days, candidates are grouped further and matched to various skills.
Benchmarking their skills, we then build different groups of candidates, those that we can place on jobs with our partners and support them with further mentoring and training to consolidate there learning and work ethics. We also mentor some into entrepreneurial roles by brainstorming ideas in areas of need and support them to raise initial capital and support them through the journey. For others, we work on diverse support system to suite their needs.
