Our small family run business is struggling. We've been ignored by the banks for over a month and been told that our insurance, which was taken out to cover business interruption, actually doesn't cover business interruption. We have only been open 2 years and just don't have the reserves that some bigger/longer established businesses do.
Just like everyone else we have been told to close our store and although we can still carry out non-contact deliveries the government have been very clear that they do not want us to carry out work in peoples homes. So we've decided to not take it lying down.
We were searching for a solution where we don't have to ask for charitable donations. We would like to offer our customers and community the chance to pay a deposit towards works/products required in the future (we are still carrying out non-contact doorstep deliveries).
This could be for anything we offer whether it's a new washing machine or a repair on an existing one. There is no set amount it can be as little as you would like and you will receive a credit note from us to confirm the amount you have paid.
Lastly a personal note:
Our business supports 3 households and although that may not seem like much, it's our entire lives my 5 beautiful children are fed and watered from the money we earn from our business and I would very much like to keep it that way.
I would like to thank you all for any support you could offer during this difficult time.
