Yoga is one of the most popular therapies for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and thousands can testify to how much it helps. Yoga calms the mind and energises the body. Yoga helps you breathe correctly, increases energy, counteracts fatigue, and lifts mood and depression. It has a good effect on the endocrine glands, the circulatory and respiratory system.
Yoga can help people who have MS, improving well-being and creating a more active lifestyle. Meditation and Mindfulness can also do this, as well as providing the student with a new way of tackling life's difficulties, some of which are possibly caused by Multiple Sclerosis.
We are trying to raise money to help facilitate our classes and potentially expand the number of people we can reach and help, using Yoga.
Yoga is an ongoing practice rather than an end in itself. The practice of yoga was written down thousands of years ago as a system to live a healthy, happy life. The word ‘yoga’ means to yoke or join together—uniting the mind, body and spirit. Joining physical poses with the breath, action with thought, and awareness with intention can bring peace to body, mind and spirit.
The benefits of yoga can be experienced with just a few minutes of practice and the benefits to people who have MS can be life enhancing and changing.
PLEASE DONATE to our crowdfunder project. Your money will help the lives of hundreds of people who use our therapy centre and live with MS. We offer a range of services and you can help to facilitate all of these with your donation.
