Bus services in Dorset are under severe pressure, at a time when our High Streets are suffering, when the government is at last tacking loneliness, Bridport residents deserve a Sunday bus service.
The ability to travel mitigates loneliness and social isolation. It allows us to visit friends and family, sightsee or shop in other places.
This means that those with Freedom Passes can get out and about, those of us who do not drive or can no longer drive can remain socially mobile, and we can support our local towns.
We wish to raise £5000 to ensure a future for Sunday bus services in West Dorset.
If we reach our target, we can provide Sunday buses from Bridport to Weymouth WITHOUT CHARGE from January to March 2020.
But we need to act now! The timetable planning deadline for 2020 is approaching
