Yes, Me Too provides resource centres and activities/outings for children with disabilities & their families from minority communities in Glasgow/surrounding areas.
We are currently raising money that will go towards facilities and supplies for our Arts and Crafts workshops. This will provide the opportunity for special needs children to express themselves creatively in a fun and therapeutic environment whilst also enabling families to connect with others in similar situations.
This can provide a life changing experience for those who struggle on a daily basis, helping children with special needs to enjoy a wide range of expressive creative practices and enabling minority families to engage with the larger community. This will benefit not only the children and their families but the city of Glasgow as a whole, encouraging full integration on all levels and helping to foster a sense of equality.
Donations will go towards materials for the Arts and Crafts class. This will cover basic things such as paints, brushes, paper, pens and pencils etc. We would also love to be able to finance more exciting equipment such as projectors, cameras, screen printing and mono printing facilities to provide our service users with the widest variety of creative opportunities possible! Any surplus funding received will go towards some of the other activities we offer such as a the sports club and gardening club.
All donations of all sizes are most welcome as we need all the help we can get. We will be hosting four annual events in Glasgow to which all are invited.
