We are raising money to exhibit our new wellbeing art initiative #YearOfTheRoses 'Our Roses and what they mean to us’ in print form within The Beeston Showcase, as an outdoor film projection premiering at #alightinBeeston light night event in Autumn and also in a printed book.
The rose has long been a symbol of endurance and hope for the future. We have relied on nature and the environment to lift our spirits throughout the coronavirus pandemic and this international collaborative art project aims to share our roses and the comfort they bring while bringing us all closer together.
Entrants from here in Nottinghamshire as well as in Italy and around the world are encouraged to upload pictures of their roses with a description of what they mean to them.
We are collating these entries for exhibition in the autumn – the more money we raise the more widely we can share these inspirational and uplifting images and stories.
