We at the Welsh Surfing Federation are looking for help to send our unfunded Junior team to Huntington Beach, California, for the ISA World Junior Games. Our teams are not financially supported by anyone, we don't receive any government or lottery funding and we don't receive any financial backing from sponsorship. Our team has proved itself capable of competing on the international stage and is very deserving of the chance to do so again in California.

Unfortunately due to the lack of funding the financial burden all too often falls on the surfers themselves and as is the case with the junior team; on the parents and families. With the amount of competition these guys are facing on the international stage this financial burden can be very limiting in what we can achieve as a nation in the sport of surfing.

Our team consists of Swansea's Patrick Langdon Dark and Ejay Cogger, and Aberavan's Jo Morris. All are national champions of Wales in their respective divisions and Pat is also our current Men's Open champion. All compete on a national level on the UK Pro Surf Tour as well as throughout Europe on the Junior Qualifying Series. As you can imagine, this can be a massive financial strain on the surfers and we hope that as a nation we can support their endeavours further; especially with surfing making the Olympics in 2020.

Please give what you can to support our young athletes. They deserve their chance to shine on the International stage.
