Project aim
Showcasing some of the best WSA work in London!
About the project
The Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University has a long-standing reputation for its high standard of work and the quality of its graduates, reflected in its consistent presence at the top 5 of architecture degree league tables.
The Summer Show in London is the celebration of both the works of the students and the professional relationships the School has established over the years with some of the best architectural practices in the country.
The show will exhibit a carefully curated selection of work, differentiated by Design Thesis units. What unifies the different units is a general emphasis on using design as a mode of investigation as well as an outcome of research.
Previous shows have attracted a large audience of design professionals and the general public. Our aspiration is to build on earlier successes in London and ensure a sustained future for this fantastic event; emphasising WSA at Cardiff University as one of the leading institutions of architectural education in the UK. In order to achieve these ambitions, we need your help.
To showcase our work, we have secured the Londonewcastle Project Space on Redchurch Street (Shoreditch) as our venue for the duration of the Summer Show. In addition, we will need to acquire materials to create displays, provide suitable lighting, print selected works and finally to produce a Summer Show catalogue, accompanying the exhibition. We are primarily in need of financial support, but if you feel that there is another way in which you could support us, we equally look forward to hearing from you.
