World Challenge - Tanzania 2015

Climb Mount Kilimanjaro and work at an orphanage in Tanzania

We did it!

On 7th May 2015 we successfully raised £1,000 of £1,000 target with 11 supporters in 56 days

New stretch target

Kit for the expedition, such as mountaineering gear.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing mountain in the World at 19,341 feet. Completing Kilimanjaro would represent a physically daunting yet rewarding and unique challenge and experience, especially when considering the overall average of successful ascents to the peak is 45%.

Working at a small orphanage in a village in Tanzania, where we will be helping to build a school.

Did you know that:

  • Every 15 seconds, another child becomes an AIDS orphan in Africa.
  • Over 2 million children become orphans every year in Africa.
  • Two thirds of Tanzanian children do not go on to secondary school.

Having a great environment at home and school is something that every child deserves, and is something that is taken for granted in many parts of the world. Your money along with my efforts will give these orphans a chance at the life they deserve.

£10 - Your contribution will make a difference to the life of these orphans so thank you!

£100 - Some of the money donated will go towards a small gift for the orphans and you will receive a picture of myself working at the project with the orphans - so you can have a lifetime memory of how much your donation means to us.

£250 - Sponsorship for advertising of your business. For example, pictures of your banner at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro or at the orphanage with all the children, for your own publicity.

Thank you so much for supporting this project and for making a difference to the lives of these orphans, please pass information of this project on to anyone who may also want to make a difference.
