On 28th March 2018 we successfully raised £50 with 3 supporters in 56 days

To support Mums with young children getting back to work by providing a source of income and self- sufficient childcare in one place!

by Alison White in Horley, England, United Kingdom

When I started making Food grade art materials, I had no family support for my children and because I had just started, I couldn’t afford to start my children at Nursery.  Eventually I slowly did this and am now looking to increase production with extra staff.

Wouldn’t it be lovely to offer a free on-site crèche to those wanting to work but have no childcare?

Only 2 or 3 mums/dads are needed to make this a reality.   The onsite creche would be for those working onsite at Tiny Land.  It would have plenty of outdoor play and bushcraft as well as life skills and wooden educational toys.  Shifts at Tiny Land would be limited to 4 hours (4 hours of childcare are exempt from OFSTED registration) and not required daily.   The creche would be for the sole purpose of those working and not open to the general public.

The 'community crèche at work' project requires:

1 x Large Prefab/wooden structure with double glazed windows for £5,500

1 x Professional Blender for additional staff to  create paint

1 x deposit for location @ £374

All other equipment and decorating/set up will look to be sourced from donations but some cash for this would be needed @ £126

The work at Tiny Land would be creative, and slightly scientific - similar to baking, candle or soap making!

This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
