Penzance and the surrounding areas would benefit greatly from knowing more about this super community project. Some increased promotion would really help to build regular numbers and this funding would go miles to help keep a volunteer schedule more consistent and to introduce more action and incentive, benefit for the community and environment. One hour short course in making fire by friction, an ancient woodland survival skill. Location: woodland setting in or around Penzance. By appointment to be confirmed as rules allow for group activities. There is the possibility that the session might have to be conducted online via Zoom or other platform, in case meetings are not allowed, or the number of participants becomes overwhelming. Rest assured we will try to accommodate participation

One day (approximately 5hrs) course in spoon making
Using traditional techniques and razor sharp hand tools (candidates must already be reasonably competent and confident in their use), we will slowly work up confidence and learn the basic skills involved with handling tools safely and producing a wooden spoon from green wood. By appointment only
