New stretch target

Any additional funding raised will be used to continue to explore and reveal the history of Wolverhampton and its citizens significance in world conflicts, through education, activity and events.  More information about us and teh Campaign is available at http://www.thewvsociety.com - check it out.

Wolverhampton Civic and Historical Society (WCHS) have identified that 3 Wolverhampton WW1 Memorials are in desperate need of repair and restoration work. In collaboration with Outside Centre, the City of Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the City of Wolverhampton Archives we want to ensure the future for these Memorials. This includes restoring Wolverhampton’s only remaining street shrine.

WCHS owe particular thanks to Outside Centre for their support in this venture, gifting Wolves in Wolves products to help raise this restoration fund. We also thank the City of Wolverhampton Council (Archive and Art Gallery) in particular, for their support.

We will continue to work on subsequent projects with any surplus funds raised by this campaign in order to explore and reveal Wolverhampton's History and memories in association with Outside Centre and other potential partners.

We have set up a website about the Campaign and the Memorials (and it will in future include other Civic and Historical Projects about Wolverhampton -  happening, events and activities in the future to attend and participate in).   The site is at www.thewvsociety.com (you may need to copy and paste this site address).  It contains images of the REWARDS.   For the first few weeks we will also have a POP-UP-SHOP in the central shopping centre, the Wulfrun Centre (opposite the Market), of Wolverhampton City. Pop in to the Pop-Up and see us (details on website – check we are still there if after the latter part of November 2018).
