With Carla's blessing a few girls from our school days at Notre Dame in Plymouth have decided to set up this page to help Carla and her family make some lasting precious memories before her fight to beat cancer comes to an end.
We all remember her as a very happy, bubbly girl at school despite what she was battling every day, she never let it get to her or at least she held her head high and was very brave during the times she was out in public.
We cannot imagine what the last 32 years have been like for her battling this wicked disease and how trying to fight it all these years through school, becoming a mother and making a living and being the best person she can be despite the pain and suffering, but she is so grateful for the life that she has had and the family she has made.
So please help to donate whatever you can, Carla spoke to Plymouth Herald in an interview this week and said:
She’s now determined to make the most of the time she has left with her children Max, 22, Bethany, 19, as well as her step-daughter Heather, 22, and grandchildren, Maddison, four, and Melody, who is 11 months old.
“They are all fantastic”, she says.
“They want to decorate my bedroom so I have somewhere nice to go and my mum really has been amazing.
“I want to see my 40th birthday next year and maybe for us all to go on a holiday.”
