Winter Warmers for Rough Sleepers
We did it
On 1st December 2017 we successfully raised £265 with 17 supporters in 14 days

Warm clothing can save lives. No one deserves to freeze to death on the streets over the festive season.

 New stretch target

If we significantly pass the £200 target I will take advice from local homeless charities/organisations as to what to do with the extra money- whether it should be used to buy more warm clothes or can be better spent.

Either way I will keep everyone in the loop and will be open to suggestions and input :)

***Last year I set up this page to raise money to buy and distribute warm clothing to people sleeping rough in Edinburgh. You all raised so much money and we smashed the target. I also received donations of warm clothes and blankets.

So, lets do it again and help save lives!!!***

The aim is simple: to raise money to buy warm clothing for those without somewhere warm to go at night.

No one deserves to freeze on the streets this winter. No human being deserves this and we can make a big difference with a small gesture

Last year I kept the page open for two weeks but lets keep it running a little longer and try to raise even more money before the cold really sets in.

I am aiming for £200 but anything more is a massive bonus. I will use the money to buy warm clothing, such as hats, scarves, gloves and waterproofs, and pass them on to any of the several homeless community groups and charities in Edinburgh who do truly amazing work each day.

Please consider donating what you can. Two quid will buy a pair of gloves.

Warm clothing is not only often the difference between life and death but also impacts life choices in the short and long term. How can you possibly find the motivation and the physical energy to make positive changes in your life if you are literally freezing to death day and night?

I find this video particularly difficult to watch but it really highlights why I feel the need to make even a small contribution.

The target is small, the effort is minimal, but the impact is huge.

Thank you everyone! X
