The Army cadets help young potential adults develop and learn skills that can help them throughout their adult life and career, the core values of being a cadet is the first stage of development and the values are;
With these values in place we then develop the the young adults to learn various skills like Drill and Turnout, Fieldcraft, Navigation, First Aid, Physical achievement and we also encourage cadets to join the Duke of Edinburgh scheme when they reach the required age.
All these activities require numerous equipment that the cadets require and some equipment can be considered expensive especially for some families struggling to support themselves. My aim is to raise funds to support all cadets to be able to provide equipment that either helps them personally or for equipment that helps all cadets.
Some equipment that are considered essential would be warm kit like, fleeces, jackets, hats. Other equipment like Rucksacks, webbing, boots, camping equipment etc would benefit all the cadets taking part in outdoor training or completing the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. We also require suitable training equipment like sports equipment, navigation training aids and IT equipment to help develop essential training prior to taking part in activities.
All this would help to develop young adults the essential life skills that would enrich the lives of so many young adults, therefore the aim is to give every cadet a chance to have a happy and successful experience while learning essential life skills.
