Thank you for looking at my crowdfunding page which I have set up.

As some of you may be aware, my son Glyn had a motorbike accident on the 18th August 2017 which has left him paraplegic.

Glyn was airlifted to Addenbrooks Hospital by the East & Herts Air Ambulance.  He spent 2 months in Addenbrooks Hospital after operations to his back and leg and a further 3 1/2 months in Stoke Mandeville's National Spinal Injuries Centre for rehabilitation.  Mid January 2018 Glyn miraculously made early discharge and came home back to Hatfield.  We are all very proud of Glyn and the progress that he has made with his new life adaptions.

Since being home, Glyn has partaken in the Spinal Unit Games and won gold in Archery!  He also attends wheelchair rugby on a weekly basis and very much enjoys it not only socially but also as a sporting achievement.  Glyn has a fantastic spirit which reflects to those around him showing that life can still be life despite a disability.

Jointly with your help, I am hoping to raise enough money to be able to provide Glyn with a motorized adaption to his wheelchair.  With this motorized adaption, it will give Glyn freedom to be able to go further distance and gradience in the open on his wheelchair without struggle and it will have a great improvement on his life.

Up until recently Glyn was a Scout Leader and was brilliant at encouraging and giving confidence to the scouts. He was actively involved and enjoyed it as much as they do.

Glyn is a happy go lucky person who is a friend to everybody. He has never been the type of person to ask for anything.  Always very independent and does his upmost to help everybody else.  Despite his own daily struggles he's still always out there helping the local community with anything that they need with or without his Councillor hat on and I feel that it is time to give something back to Glyn.

With your help to provide this one thing for Glyn it will make a massive difference to his life.

Thank you with all my heart,

Jo x
