Sports play a vital role in life, especially in this gloomy time we want sports to boost morale. Grassroots sports clubs like West Harrow Cricket Club play a vital role in the local community. Our goal as a club is not only to help people stay fit and healthy but also to help develop an individual's sporting talents, we also want to bring people from the local community together. As of last year, West Harrow Cricket club has over 100 colts and around 50 adult members.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for all of us. And we as a club are struggling as well. So to get back on our feet and encourage more and more people to join the club and take part in cricket, we need your support.
We have few projects inlined to attract more people. The two most important target for us are
1) The first thing would be to make our clubhouse safe inline with covid guidelines by putting up appropriate signs, sanitisation stations, partitions in urinals and so on.
2) The other thing that we are working on is to get a new electronic scoreboard for the club. This will help our club colts and adult cricket move forward with better-equipped facilities, attracting new members to the club.
Our goal is to raise £4000. Donations of any amount are welcomed to reach our goal. Reaching nearer to our goal means Sports England will chip in with 50% of our goal as well to keep the dream alive. So please contribute generously. Moreover, if you contribute £50 or more then you will be named as a Match Day Ball Sponsor and you will get a mention on our newsletter and social media channels.
