I’ve just organised a craft beer festival which has raised nearly £1800 for charity - and I want to do it again!
I wanted to raise money for Brain Tumour Support in memory of a dear friend, Mark Martin, who died from glioblastoma multiforme aged just 36. I chose a beer festival as we wanted it to be something fun that he would’ve enjoyed, and to bring something new to the local community.
Despite a snowy weekend, we did it! People enjoyed themselves, and the beer, and I’ve had lots of calls to do it all again next year. And I’m keen to do just that.
BUT. This event took a lot of planning, a lot of stress and - most importantly - a lot of money before the event could happen, for beer, equipment and glasses. I paid for all these up-front costs out of my own bank account as an individual. It wasn’t easy!
And I want to make sure I can manage this again next year.
Help this event happen in 2019, by supporting my crowdfunding campaign.
