If we exceed our target goal of providing a chrome book to the WOCPS families now in need, then we will go onto buy a set of devices for use by the children in-school and assistive software for the specific learning needs of pupils.
Technology is a gateway to learning, essential during this unprecedented time. We want to provide chromebooks or laptops for children in the low income families in our community and to enable digital access for pupils in school.
Both in our school and in people's homes there is a massive shortage of devices. We want to provide fast, reliable devices with keyboards so pupils can be independent and engage with their peers across learning environments.
The growing gap between haves and have nots is a real source of concern for everyone, especially in our age of distance learning and covid lock-downs. We need to do better as a community for those who need us most and provide them with what they need to make a difference in their life.
So long as the computer access gap continues we will be facing a growing problem, children who need a tiny investment now to enable their longterm good being shut out of their right to lessons and learning.
To give every child access we need to develop a fund to provide computers to those that need them most, please give what you can.
