A SPACE DEDICATED TO ART
The West Acre Art Gallery aims to engage with the small yet creative rural community of West Acre by providing a much-needed space solely dedicated to exhibiting art, in turn breathing new life into a disused historic building.
Our mission is to promote local talent, both established and emerging, from West Acre and across the region by showcasing their work for the enjoyment of all.
A PLACE TO CONNECT
As well as a space for artists to exhibit, the gallery aims to encourage the creative process in its many forms. It will be available to hire for classes, workshops, meetings and conferences, as a place for people to connect and share ideas in a calm, intimate setting rich with heritage.
There will be a gift shop on site selling locally made crafts and art inspired gifts, cards and prints - some of which will be made by artists in the neighbouring studios.
ART FOR ALL
We embrace equality and social diversity, and the gallery will operate an all-inclusive, non-discriminatory practice by showcasing the talents of artists regardless of experience, training, gender and ethnicity. It will be dedicated to promoting public awareness, understanding and the appreciation of visual art and making it accessible to the wider community.
We believe art creates community.
Art can challenge us to feel, and connect us to our common humanity.
We invite the residents of West Acre and beyond to join us on our Crowdfunder journey and support our campaign to create this special, cultural space.
