West Notts Club Stair Lift Project
We did it
On 19th March 2018 we successfully raised £70 with 3 supporters in 56 days

We are raising money for a Disabled lift to be installed

by Mickey Rad in Nottingham, England, United Kingdom

The West Notts Club is a private members club situated in Nottingham, recently the West Notts have joined up with the retired ambulance people of Nottingham forming an association called N.A.S.R.A meaning Nottingham Ambulance Service Retired Association

The West Notts Club is now the centre of main social events and gatherings. Unfortunately not all retired personnel are able to access this opportunity as they are disabled and the West Notts club  does not have the facility to accommdate disabled access, we have had quotes which are available on request from various companies the average quote being in the region of £15000 which we do not have the funds to accommodate and see the project through, this is why we have come to crowdfunding and ask of you the general public to help.

We have been to the big lottery fund but we didn' make it past round 2, there response is below

Dear Mr. Radage
Reaching Communities application
Thank you for your application to Reaching Communities. I’m sorry to tell you that
this has been unsuccessful.
I appreciate the time and energy required to complete an application and I know
that our decision will be disappointing to you. Demand for our funding is always far
higher than the funding available and we have to choose between many good
We believe the best way to improve communities is through harnessing and
supporting the ideas, skills and energy of the people who live in them. This year
we are investing £160 million to support this vision. Our average monthly budget is
around £13 million, whereas our monthly applications regularly total more than
£50 million.
Funding is discretionary and we will only invite the projects we judge to be the
strongest to complete a Stage two application.
To keep up to date with our latest funding opportunities you can sign up to our

The retired people of Nottinghamshire ambulance service have worked tirelessly for the people of Nottingham thier entire career to help save peoples lives and as a community I do believe this is something we can give back to help the retired heroes and retired heroes to come to access a social event that unites the retired members of Nottingham Ambulance service.

This also helps any disabled members we currently have that find it a struggle so do not frequent a visit as much as they would like. A social aspect of ones life is of imperative importance to thrive in a community

Thanks for taking the time to read and please share as much as you can
