Tender aims to prevent domestic and sexual violence in the lives of young people

by Nikki Rummer in London, England, United Kingdom

New stretch target

All money will go directly to Tender to support their work.

I nominated Tender as the charity for our Wenlock Basin appeal because it’s very dear to my heart. Tender is a local organisation that works with young people across London to prevent domestic violence and sexual abuse. I love their work because it’s genuinely delivered with young people - and not ‘at’ them or ‘to’ them - to change attitudes and behaviours that allow abuse to go unchecked.

During Covid-19, domestic violence is harder to grapple with than ever, and there’s a risk of greater violence and intimidation that could leave its scars for years to come. Tender is working with young people to identify the early warning signs of abuse, to stop it in its tracks, and find safety and support. Once lockdown is over, our young people will need more support than ever for building relationships that are healthy, respectful and free from control.

Please help us to keep Tender going in these difficult times.
