Horizon Wellbeing Festival

Horizon Wellbeing Festival

Horizon aims to combine aspects of mind, body and spirit to help people have an improve their wellbeing in a safe and loving environment.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

Horizon festival is a weekend long outdoor festival running from the 7th to the 9th June 2017 in the Buckinghamshire countryside, close to Milton Keynes.  It aims to combine aspects of mind, body and spirit to help attendees have an improved sense of wellbeing in a safe environment with like-minded people. The festival will offer a weekend long camping wellbeing experience as well as day tickets for the two main days of the event. It is suitable for people of all ages, including families and children.

The balance between mind, body and spirit is important as all three of these together ensure that we are living full and harmonious lives. We actively encourage people to consider all three of these aspects and understand the importance of each of them, not just focusing on one or two of these areas.

Why is wellbeing important?

In modern society we are all leading very busy and often chaotic lives. We believe it is important to take some time out of our hectic routines to focus on ourselves, this reduces stress levels, helps us focus and can aid us in leading happy and successful lives.

What to expect?

We will have expert speakers from all over the country who will deliver talks, workshops and taster sessions on an unlimited number of wellbeing related topics. The topics may include meditation, yoga, nutrition, drumming and many more. This is a great opportunity for you to try something new without the need to sign up for a long course or join a club. All our talks, workshops and experiences are free with the entry ticket, making this festival amazing value.

There will be numerous live music performances throughout the weekend, including a fantastic barn dance band, giving everyone a fantastic opportunity to let off some steam and give dancing a go, no matter what your ability.

We are also going to also have a fantastic performance by a Re-enactment group, giving interactive and fun historical performances with living history.

The festival marketplace will let people browse and buy a wide choice of items including, clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts and many other items. Our on-site caterers will offer a diverse range of meals and snacks available to buy, catering to everyone whether you are a vegan or a carnivore!

What do we need?

Horizon festival is looking for funds to help cover the cost of advertising and the initial set up this great community event.

The cost of the event will be much greater than this cost and the remaining funds required will be sourced by the organisers and raised through the usual avenues.
