We have currently had a new building project completed but we do not have the reading books, dictionaries to fill the new classrooms. Currently we are a 'Good' school (rated by Ofsted in Nov 2016) but we have no money to spend on the basics for our children. Reading is a key essential for all children's learning and young development.
The school is still stuck in the 20th Century when it comes to technology. The project would allow us to gain a Wi-Fi system that covers the whole school and not just four (out of 17 classroom!) Once the Wi-Fi system is updated and capable of withstanding more than one device connected to it, the school will be able to open its doors to the community to create a Community Computing Workshop. This could support the local community with Online Safety lessons, basics in Microsoft Office, sending emails, password protection and anything else that the community would like to have training on, within the remit of the project and the school.
Our Parent, Teachers Association are doing their best to support us but their funding can only stretch so far.
