We are aiming to deliver a community centre for people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health providing activities, educ etc.

We started the CRC because we believe every person has the right to access the community, to education, to employment and even their own front door. Sadly, many people in society are depirived of these human rights merely because they are autistic, have an intellectual disability or even mental health.

There is a high prevelance of people returning to the community after lengthy stays in hospital or care placements, but they lack access to the area in which they live.

We have a vision to create a HUB, not a day centre, a community centre a place where people can come and join with menaingful activities, improve access to education or even employment - heavens forbid a disabled person have a job :) The funding will support us to acquire a premises which are suitable to host a Community Centre, in which we would develop cmulti-functional rooms that can be a class or meeting room by day and a large open community centre for the whole community to hire for parties and weddings. To generate income and offer employment the funds will enable us to create our own coffee shop within the centre offering employment to people with disablities.

Let's make 'Waltham Forest HUB' happen
