I started running again during lockdown after a long period not running (and spending it instead drinking gin). Somehow I've gone from that to promising I'll run / walk 870 miles in a year for the foundation. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.
The Human Milk Foundation supports more families to receive human milk when their baby is born prematurely, has an illness or their mother cannot breastfeed for a medical reason such as undergoing cancer treatment. They have helped babies in hospitals and families in the community and their work makes a phenomenal difference not just to babies but the wellbeing of the whole family.
They are worth running far more than 870 miles for. You can read more about their work here https://humanmilkfoundation.org/about-us/
