by Waddesdon CofE School in Aylesbury, England, United Kingdom

Hello!

Welcome to Waddesdon School's Crowdfunder for our Music Recording Studio, a space where our students can flourish and build their own musical future.

The Vision...

Our mission for this project is to renovate our current music practice space, which has become dated and uninspiring and use this space to build a brand new Recording Studio, which will allow our students to use the space to create new music of their own, as well as shape their future into a musical one.

We want to revive it as a hub for young people, music and music technology and we need your help. By donating to this project, you can help transform this old, uninspiring practice room into a beacon of opportunity for our talented music students, where they will be able to:

  • Access high-quality, professional grade equipment and facilities
  • Have an inspiring hub for all musical ventures
  • Participate in extra-curricular musical opportunities using the new space
  • Improve their knowledge on the inner workings behind music production
  • Collaborate with other music students, which previously wouldn't be as readily available
  • Develop skills and create a platform for their futures in music

By supporting this project, you are helping us develop the provision for students in our school and make it more inclusive for all.

How will the finished space look?

We are aiming to convert the 3 music practice rooms (one large and two smaller rooms) into a fully functional professional grade recording space, the spaces will include:

  • 1 x Live Room / Recording Space / Film & Photography Studio
  • 1 x Isolated Vocal Booth
  • 1 x Mixing/Control Room

How will the money be spent?

We already have some equipment, which can be moved into the studio so 100% of the money will be spent on the following:

  • Building & construction
  • Soundproofing
  • Materials (i.e. paint, plasterboard, insulation, etc.)
  • Equipment (i.e. cables, microphones, mixing consoles, monitors, etc.)
  • Ensuring the space meets all health & safety and fire regulations

All of the above will include high-quality equipment to enhance the capabilities of the rooms themselves, this will be a sustainable project and one that will be used for years to come.

With your help, we can make this dream a reality and enrich the lives of our extremely talented young people in a way where they shape their own musical futures.

N.B. We would also welcome donations of equipment or time. E.g. if you're a manufacturer or a trades person who is passionate about our cause then why not get in touch to discuss donating some equipment, or help with electrical/plumbing work, etc. Even support with painting and decorating would be a massive help.
