I have worked in the NHS since 2008 as a PA and now an Executive Assistant and have seen first hand how much time is wasted by clinicians having to do their own administration work. I came up with the concept 'Virtually Perfect Scribes and Assistants', a transcription and Virtual Assistant business for female workers only.
After returning to work, I felt guilty about not spending more time with the children and I felt like I was letting my team down by taking time off for appointments. Although my team was super supportive, I couldn't help but feel bad.
VPSA will enable mothers who want to work remotely to do so. Being focused on medical transcription and assistants only not only takes the pressure off clinicians but also allows mothers to work from home.
I am super lucky as I have a huge family network to help me with my children whilst I work as I can not afford childcare, but not everyone has a support group.
My concept, allows mothers to get back into work while being able to remain at home and cut the cost of expensive childcare. Full training is provided for each person. Working with VPSA opens the doors to anyone wanting to develop a career in healthcare administration.
