I'm Bea Gare and I've lived in Exeter as both a student and a resident. As a British diplomat I saw British politicians make promises they could not keep, and knew this was wrong. I joined the Women's Equality Party because WE are offering a more inclusive approach that champions social justice.
Exeter is a diverse city, and that's something we should celebrate. When people with different lifestyles rub shoulders it needn't create friction. I'll bring people together across the ward to talk and to listen.
We are raising funds to pay for the relatively small costs of standing for local election. Any amount, no matter how small is welcome and will be spent only on direct campaign costs. For example:
£10.00 will buy more than 100 leaflets - we need to get our message out to 4,000+ households.
£25.00 will pay for 100 posters that local residents can display to support my campaign
£50.00 would go a long way towards our video and editing costs
£100.00 would significantly enhance our ability to reach a wider audience within Duryard and St James through digital promotion.
Thank you to everybody who has already supported this project so generously.
