Kidz Aware is not-for-profit charity/social enterprise with 3 core values at our heart: Equality; Inspiring; Embracing. We exist to ensure that all children/adults with a disability have the opportunities, to achieve their aspirations in life.

We understand first-hand what it means to be a family caring for a disabled child:I  myself created Kidz Aware in 2006, after fundraising for medical treatment for my disabled daughter  Sabrina. Despite successfully raising the funds My daughter Sabrina was not able to undergo the treatment and, therefore, I  gifted the money to other disabled children who were suitable for treatments that the NHS could not provide. It was through this experience that I recognized the need for a charity that could support the families of disabled children/adults and that’s what Kidz Aware has been doing ever since. Myself and my daughter  Sabrina and wonderful volunteers run Kidz Aware together.

We believe that everyone can make a valuable contribution to society, but people with disabilities face greater challenges. We want all individuals with any kind of disability to have a voice and be part of a wider solution that supports disability at every level of society.

We do not receive any funding from the government council health and raise a large percentage of our funds ourselves with the help of our local communities

We deliver all these services   Information, Advice and Guidance      Mental Health and Wellbeing Awareness    Debt Advice/ Benefit Entitlements  Attend PIP/ESA Appeals    Signposting and Referrals   Family Support - person centred planning/short and long-term support    Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Educational Training workshops addressing children/adult mental health, racism and bullying

So far, we have reached over 800 families. We have educated over 42,000 young children around acceptance disability awareness etc, however we are receiving more calls for help from families of children with mental health many of these children are self harming and suicidal and are under the age of ten , we want to address this and provide more services to families who rely on us, however we struggle to access funds as many funders find it hard to believe what we are achieving is possible even though we have evidenced this , we need your help to ensure all children can achieve their full potential no more children feeling their only option is suicide or self harm , so may services being shut , we need your help
