The team producing the visors will be working through the Bank Holiday weekend to meet demand. As well as their initial focus on Surrey & Kent (funded by their own Crowdfunding page) they are now supplying Hounslow (funded via this page) and Chelsea & Westminster (via another page). This Video from them (taken in the dining room of their house - now a visor production factory with 14 3D printers) explains how their operation has grown.
The printers are running 24 hours and can make up to 750 visors a day. We are rotating the output between all the NHS hospitals trusts and key workers in all these areas.
We would like to thank Access Self Storage in Isleworth and their staff for agreeing to supply us with boxes for the remainder of our campaign. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who donated all the boxes that they could find in their attics and garages so far, and for others for collecting them.
And finally here is a Short Video of one of the 3D printers being used to produce visor frames playing the theme tune from Star Wars. Even machines need a rest at times.....
