Henton Village Hall trustees are working to fund an outdoor play area for the local community including the villages of Bleadney, Yarley and Worth. These villages do not have any facilities for children so we would like to change that.
The play area will be installed in stages depending on how the fundraising goes. The company have designed the play area to be installed gradually. It will be made from Robinia wood and will be maintained by the Village Hall Trustees.
There will be a climbing tower and slide suitable for all ages and swings for all ages installed, with the option of adding elements to the tower as funding progresses.
The Community are on board and have started fundraising through completing a Henton 100 Challenge, inspired by Captain Tom. I walked 100 miles in May with my children. Other challenges so far including selling 100 cakes, selling 100 scrunchies, selling 100 plants and sewing 100 items. There is also going to be a sports afternoon to raise money for the area.
