My goal is to gather enough funds for my tuition fees. At £9,250 a year, for 4 years this is a big task!

Like most young girls that loved animals I wanted to be a vet. However, various knock backs throughout my education has meant that I am not entering my Veterinary Medicine course the traditional way!

During my first degree at Oxford Brookes studying BSc Equine Science I couldn’t resist skipping lectures to go lambing and calving, it wasn’t until lecturers suggest I give pursuing veterinary medicine another go that I realized my dream may still be possible.

Since then I have been getting experience at small and large animal veterinary practices in Oxford and Salisbury, worked at Longleat Safari Park and on my local dairy farm. I took additional A Levels to support my first degree and sought a lot of advice to make sure I was fully prepared.

I have been fortunate enough to gain a place at Bristol Veterinary School on their 4 year Accelerated Graduate Entry Programme beginning on September 23rd2019! Despite this being great news I am now tasked with pulling together £37,000 for my tuition fees (£9,250 per year).

Unfortunately as a graduate I cannot seek help from the government and there aren’t many grants/bursaries that I am eligible for. This is where this crowd-funding page comes in – I need as much help as I can get! Anything will help…
