My name is ALAN NORTON and i am desperately seeking financial help to get my young dog the operation she so badly needs. I am a 77 year old pensioner living on benefits just over 2 years ago i got myself a DOGUE DE BORDEAUX puppy who i named PRINCESS. she was all i dreamed of, we are together all the time, because of other commitments i had at the time i registered Princess with the PDSA with the view that once this commitment was met i would get Princess properly insured. Unfortunately 2 months before my commitment was met, Princess was running around the park with her other dog friends, when she suddenly pulled up crying with pain.my heart sank my poor Princess was in terrible pain. after having x rays she was diagnosed with having ELBOW DYSPLASIA. MY world fell apart my poor Princess was unable to be a normal puppy, she had to be kept on a short lead all the time, over a period of time her pain has increased so much so some days she has a job to walk because of the pain, it is heart breaking to see. last week Princess was on an extended lead when she started running around in circles she had so much energy she is still a puppy! When she finished running around she lay on the ground in pain! How do you keep a 90lbs dog from running around when she has so much energy to burn up? I feel so helpless i blame myself for her condition and continually punish myself because of my financial state, Princess is loved by all who know her, she is so loving so soft one cannot help but fall in love with her. MY plea is for people to help me get Princess the operations she so desperately needs to enable her to become the dog she was meant to be. i did have dreams of getting Princess trained as a therapy dog visiting the sick and elderly in hospital but because of her condition that is no longer possible. THANK YOU for taking time to read my story, hopefully my prayers will be answered and Princess can get the operations she so desperately needs.
