Our 3 man team is made up completely of British Army Veterans all who, have served on operations and have overcome mental health problems, aided by the opportunity to attend wilderness therapy inspired bush-craft activities.

We aim to support, not only Armed Forces veterans, but all groups of adults experiencing vulnerabilities. Our desire is to give extra to support them through out the current Covid 19 crisis which is leading to increased suffering of mental health. They will be able to access our workshops free of charge with the focus of developing their; confidence, self-discipline, leadership skills, resilience, increased self-esteem, problem solving skills, and coping strategies.

By attending and engaging within Valkyrie's Covid 19 support Wilderness Workshops participants will go on to develop; attractive employment skills, reintegrate into society successfully and lead a positive, productive lifestyle. This will lead to them ultimately being able to hold their heads up high, and contribute to their communities as a whole.

Our plans for money raised:

  • Purchase much needed equipment to enable us to run sessions which will give the maximum experience to the individuals attending workshops
  • Hire of outdoor toilet and washing facilities to comply with Covid 19 sanitary requirements
  • Contribute to some running costs to ensure attendees have free access to workshops
  • Contribute towards some staff training costs to ensure the highest standards are met when delivering workshops
